It's time for our monthly gallery reception!
The Decatur Market & Gallery invites you to join us on
SATURDAY, OCT. 10 for a gallery reception honoring
"Outsider Art." Honored artists are
James Loftus
and
Betsy Halford. The reception will be from
5 - 10 p.m.and will include complimentary wine,
hors d'oeuvres and an outdoor artist market.
Free to attend.

The Decatur Market & Gallery
is proud to host a free reception to celebrate two artists:
James Loftus
 
Betsty Halford and James Loftus use found objects to create
unique 3-D narrative assemblages that are proudly "Outside"
the norm!These dynamic artists give new meaning to repurposed
materials. Each piece has an accompanying recipe, explanation
or documentation of authentictiy. From themes such as
introspection to capitalism, each piece is thought provoking,
evocative and unique, challenging the viewer to contemplate.
Some invoke whimsy and artistic flourishes, prompting a smile.
It's just too hard to explain... come see for yourself!
We invite you to come meet the artists in person during the
reception.

The Gallery also features pottery, handcrafted jewelry, encaustic
paintings, pastels, glasswork, woodwork, jewelry and much more!
Artists and artisans in residence are on a solid track to success and
highly collectable.
During the reception, the Gallery will also offer an outdoor
art market featuring handcrafted items. Hors d'oeuvres and wine
will be served.
The reception is free to attend. Join us!

The Decatur Market & Gallery was created as a gallery space for
emerging artists and artisans. The Decatur Market & Gallery is
Atlanta's most unique local co-operative gallery, exclusively featuring
Georgian artists. Each of the artist and artisan participants work in the
gallery to help reduce expenses and each have creative input on the
day to day operations of the gallery. We strive to enhance the art
community by offering this venue to support emerging talent. The
gallery participates with neighboring businesses for stronger synergy
